Ranch Dip/Dressing Mix

I’m always looking for ways to save money. Who isn’t, right? One of the things that we seemed to buy a lot was that dry mix in the envelopes to make ranch dip or dressing. Those are expensive, especially when your kids eat ranch dressing on everything! I found a simple recipe to use and make our own. I tweaked it a little to our taste and it is awesome! Only four ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make it. Store it in an airtight container and it’ll make several containers of dip or dressing.

Ranch Dip/Dressing Mix

  • 5 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 7 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

Ranch Dip

  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 2 1/2 tbsp of the dry mix (above)

Mix together well. Cover and refrigerate.
This is great with chips, raw veggies, pizza, pizza rolls, or whatever else you like to eat with ranch.

Ranch Dressing

The recipe below is for 1 serving.  The first time I made this, I made a pint jar full and ended up throwing half of it out. Maybe because of the milk, I’m not sure, but it tends to ruin faster.

  • 2 tbsp of the Ranch Dip
  • 1 tbsp milk (I’ve tried regular milk, or almond milk. Both worked great.)

Mix together very well. You may adjust the milk depending on the consistency you want. I use this with all my salads and I love it. I’m so used to it now, I don’t like regular ranch dressing. Try it and let me know what you think.
